MJ Flood Technology was established to serve the burgeoning ICT industry in Ireland. Thanks to a relatively recent change in business strategy, led by managing director, James Finglas, its revenue and profitability growth has catapulted the organisation, for the first time, to a leading provider of total ICT solutions and supporting services across Ireland, the UK and Germany.
Its business includes a full communications portfolio incorporating cloud computing, network infrastructure and security, storage, content management, disaster recovery and outsourced managed services.
Pre-empting the opportunities that cloud computing would present, James and his team set about carving out a market space for the company that would tap into its own in-depth understanding of cloud and deliver exceptional customer value in an increasingly commoditised ICT market. Its best practice approach to cloud services delivery has generated real business success, to the point that global multi-national organisations such as O2/Telefonica in Ireland, UK and Germany have contracted its expertise to act as their ‘virtual’ provider of cloud technology services and technical support to their clients.
These lucrative contracts have boosted MJ Flood Technology revenues and have confirmed the company as one of Microsoft’s most important business partners on a pan-European level. Microsoft have consistently highlighted the organisation as a global centre of excellence in activation and support of its cloud-based Office 365 productivity solution for syndication partners.
MJ Flood Technology also serves the domestic ICT market and works with a large number of indigenous enterprises and multi-national organisations, helping them to align IT with business, to create agile, dynamic value chains.
With headquarters in Dublin and seven regional offices, MJ Flood Technology has grown its headcount aggressively in the last three years and now employs over 150 highly educated business and technical professionals.
Through industry partnerships with some of the leading hardware and software vendors, including Gold status with HP and Microsoft, and an ongoing programme of human resource and skills investment, MJ Flood Technology has the technical capability to address even the most complex and demanding technology needs.
MJ Flood Technology is part of MJ Flood Holdings, a company originally founded in 1935 as a humble typewriter repair business on Dublin’s Pearse Street.
