James Finglas, Managing Director

James Finglas is managing director of MJ Flood Technology since 2007, having held the position of sales director since 1999.  He is responsible for driving a team of 30 sales and technical professionals and for managing multi-million Euro revenues for the company.  MJ Flood Technology is part of the MJ Flood Group, a wholly-owned Irish operation specialising in printing and imaging, interior contracting and contemporary furniture was established in 1936.

Prior to this, James Finglas was a Senior Account Manager with Moss Technology selling a range of business connectivity solutions and associated services to corporate enterprises. James was particularly successful in building a strong commercial relationship with the legal sector and was responsible for a number of high profile installations including the student network in the Kings Inns.

James Finglas has almost 20 years of experience in the IT sector and previously held a variety of roles with Martin Mulligan Ireland.

James is a native of Dublin and a graduate of the Dublin Institute of Technology at Rathmines.


Brian Murphy

Brian Murphy, Technical Director

Brian Murphy joined MJ Flood Technology, the technology wing of the MJ Flood Group, as Technical Director in 1999. Specialising in ICT solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises, Brian is responsible for the Technical and Engineering division of the organisation and manages a large team of Microsoft, Citrix and Cisco Certified Engineers. One of Brian’s goals when he joined M.J. Flood Technology was to secure the Microsoft Gold Certified Partnership, an achievement which he proudly realised in 2004.

Prior to this, Brian Murphy spent two years as an Assistant Project Manager in ESB with responsibility for the delivery of 125 Servers and 2500 desktop PCs across the ESB wide area network.

Brian has 18 years of experience in the IT sector and previously spent 10 years with Independent Computer Maintenance as Service Manager responsible for €500,000 in maintenance contracts and a team of 13 support engineers. Brian has also held a variety of roles within the private and public sectors.

Brian is a native of Dublin and a graduate of Atlantic College, Ranelagh.


Gareth Madden

Gareth Madden, Sales Director

Since 2007, Gareth Madden has held the position of Sales Director with MJ Flood Technology.  Tasked with driving and managing a young, motivated sales team of business professionals, Gareth has overall responsibility for the company’s sales targets, manages supplier relationships, identifies innovative technology solutions and also works closely with the marketing function to drive new business development.

Prior to this, Gareth Madden spent four years with TechNiche, firstly as sales director and later as managing director.  A business which he co-founded following the purchase of Moss Technology, he was responsible for every aspect of the sales operation including new business development and negotiations with key suppliers.  He secured a valuable portfolio of over 100 new corporate clients for the business within a short period of time resulting in its nomination as Best Network Infrastructure Company in 2006.

Gareth started his technology career at Moss Technology, where he spent a total of nine years.  He was the number 1 sales person in the group for seven years in a row in terms of revenue and profitability, resulting in his promotion to sales director during this time.

Gareth is a native of Wicklow and a graduate of the Dublin Business School.
